Noted author to speak at 20th Annual Community Prayer Breakfast

Hear about the prayers that have motivated and lifted the spirits of famous actors, coaches, an Olympic champion and a Nobel Peace Prize winner at the 20th Annual Community Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, October 29 at St. Michael’s Woodside in Broadview Heights. This annual event, sponsored by Parma Community General Hospital, takes place from 7-8:30 a.m. and unites area citizens for an inspiring morning of reflection and fellowship.
Author Chuck Spinner collected the favorite prayers of over 100 well-known people for To the Heavens, from the Stars, a book about the power of prayer. Spinner left the seminary for a 33-year teaching career in the Cleveland area, including 21 years teaching social studies in the Parma schools. His book includes contributions from the likes of actor and activist Martin Sheen, Ohio State University coach Jim Tressel, Olympic gold medalist Mary Lou Retton and Bishop Desmond Tutu.
