Unique arts and fine crafts festival
helps to acquire a new patient courtesy van for Parma Hospital
Friday, November 18, 2011 – 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Saturday, November 19, 2011 – 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Kick off your holidays with a grand fiesta at Noche Fabulosa, the opening preview of Parma Community General Hospital’s Fifth Annual Arts at the Center at St. Michael’s Woodside, 5025 East Mill Road, Broadview Heights.
Celebrate the season by purchasing one-of-a-kind gifts ranging from woodcrafts and handmade jewelry to paintings and framed photographs. Those who attend the Fifth Annual Arts at the Center, sponsored by the Parma Hospital Auxiliary on November 18-19, also will support the acquisition of new patient courtesy transportation for the Home Run Van Service.
"We look forward to another fabulous and fun event to showcare local artists and enhance Parma Hospital's relationship-based care," says Andrea Sack, Parma Hospital's director of Volunteer Services. "This is a great way to support community health and wellness and get your holiday shopping off to a fine start."
The two-day event begins with “Noche Fabulosa” a preview reception on November 18 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. that includes a cocktail party and an opportunity to purchase art in advance of Saturday’s public show. Guests at the casual but classy cocktail reception on Friday evening are encouraged to wear their favorite Mexican attire to enjoy a fiesta inspired menu and Mariachi themed music by Akin for Jazz.
The juried arts and fine crafts festival will showcase the work of 32 area artisans, including woodcrafters, painters, photographers, potters and jewelry designers. Guests at the Friday evening event will have the opportunity to preview and purchase the unique pieces on display while enjoying exquisite cuisine, margaritas, and a variety of wines provided by Heidelberg Distributing Company, a presenting sponsor, along with Cox Business. Other platinum sponsors include Koler Financial Group, Parma Hospital Health Care Foundation, and Pleasant Lake Villa/Legacy Health Services. Tickets for the Friday preview event are $50. For tickets, call 440-743-2371. The Saturday show, held from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m., is free and open to the public.
