Know Your Stats:
Get Your Ticket to Good Prostate Health
One in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer – the most common non-skin cancer in men – in his lifetime. Thanks to the PSA blood test, far more prostate cancers are caught before they present symptoms. Through a partnership with the National Football League, the American Urological Association Foundation is working to help men over 40 develop a game plan to track their urologic health, beginning with a baseline of basic statistics.
A nationally renowned urologist who is now on the Medical Staff at Parma Community General Hospital will discuss why you should Know Your Stats in a free public talk on Prostate Cancer Screening & Treatment on September 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hospital’s Auditorium. All men who attend are eligible for a free PSA blood test.
Carson Wong MD, FRCSC, FACS is the medical director of the Center for Minimally Invasive and Robot-Assisted Surgery at Parma Hospital. He is a nationally recognized expert in endourologic, minimally invasive and robotic surgery for the treatment of urologic cancers, stone disease, upper urinary tract reconstruction and laser surgery for benign prostate enlargement. U.S. News & World Report and Castle Connolly Medical Limited Top Doctors have rated Dr. Wong among the Top 1 percent of urologists in the nation. Dr. Wong moved from Oklahoma City, where he served as medical director of the Center for Robotic Surgery at OU Medical Center, to join Southwest Urology in Middleburg Hts.
Dr. Wong’s engaging and educational talks give the audience ample opportunity to ask questions. To RSVP for this free talk, call 440-743-4900.
