Anticoagulation Clinic
Located on the ground floor of Medical Arts Center 3, on the Parma Hospital campus, the Anticoagulation Clinic is a Pharmacist-directed outpatient program designed for individuals who need the management of the anticoagulation medication warfarin (Coumadin/Jantoven).
Pharmacists at the clinic will assist you with regards to diet, interactions, education and adjustment of your medications if it is necessary. Your safety is our number one priority at Parma Hospital. Active communication between your Physician and Pharmacist will ensure that you are safely managed while on warfarin.
Types of Conditions Treated Include:
- Abnormal Heart Rhythms
- Clotting/Bleeding Disorders
- Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)
- Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
- Heart Attack (MI)
- History of Strokes
- Atrial Fibrillation
- Long-term use of Anticoagulants
- Pulmonary Embolism (PE)
- Valve Replacement
Point-of-Care Testing
The Anticoagulation Clinic uses Point-of-Care testing (finger-stick) for your comfort and convenience. Most appointments are less than 10 minutes, and results are available within minutes.
The Parma Hospital Laboratory will continue to offer traditional venous puncture method services for those who prefer this method.

Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Closed 12-12:30 p.m. daily for lunch.
Closed weekends and legal holidays.
