This 33-bed unit provides nursing care and restorative services to the adult oncology, medical/surgical and pediatric patient. Patients are admitted from other areas of the hospital, directly from home or from the Emergency Department.

Patient Population
The unit cares for oncology and pediatric patients along with medical/surgical patients primarily with the diagnosis of cellulitis and deep vein thrombosis. The unit specializes in the administration of chemotherapy to the acute care inpatient. Patient ages range from newborn to 100+ years.

Staffing
A team comprised of RNs, LPNs, patient care assistants, nurse educator, case manager, social worker, dietitian and attending and consulting physicians utilize an interdisciplinary approach to care and treatment.
